Calvin got the point… or rather, a look at the pointy fangs.

Our puppy had a minor surgery last Friday and he’s been banging his cone into our legs whenever possible.

You may be there a while Calvin, but at least it will keep you out of trouble for a bit.

Just keep rubbing, Calvin. Hobbes will tell you when to stop.

It is forbidden to NOT rub the big cat’s belly

My wife is like that…

My cat is the same way.

I have had cats that would give you a friendly snag with a claw to indicate they wanted more than drive-by attention.

Ah , those kitties do love their belly rubs don’t they! ;-)

I had a cat like that once. Would turn around and bite me if became negligent in my rubbing and scratching duties.

My experience is that cats prefer chin rubs over belly rubs

This comic is true to the behavior of some cats I’ve known. I am happy to note that they were not of tiger size.

I have a cat like that. If I stop rubbing her tummy, she REMINDS me.

You were a pooch in another life (both of my dogs did the same thing), and if you are caring you were probably a lab or a Springer Spaniel, probably the later since my first dog was one and you could really tell he liked by the way he moved his feet when you rubbed his belly.

Considering that Hobbes is actually a stuffed tiger toy, this is pretty good imagining on Calvin’s part.

The sun, earth, moon, stars, planets, etc. seems to revolve around cats.
