Android phones made it up “there”! Do the Pearly Gates have Wi-Fi and a built-in cell tower on top? I can imagine where all of the proprietary iphones are going and being used… ;-)

Given the consequences of our climate crisis, the National Weather Service has expanded its list of available hurricane initials to include Greek letters in case we get >21* worthy of names. So #22 will be A (Alpha), #23 B (Beta), #24 Γ (Gamma), #25 Δ (Delta), etc.

    – – – – –

    *26 letters minus Q, U, X, Y, and Z, which aren’t used

Funny how it is timed to the election cycle this year. Gonna be a lot of hot winds blowing across the country, none of it doing much good.

Ahem. June, too soon. July, you can rely. August, come it must. September, remember. October, all over.

Note that the really good ones tend to arrive in late September or early October.

Also note that in some years there are hurricanes in May and November and even December.

Sell your home in Ontario, Canada move to Florida, it great they said it is Great weather they said, does not get below 10F they said, Great restaurants and plenty of food for a good price they said, Great gated communities they said. What they forgot to say, That Florida has Hurricanes, floods, Alligators in every pond and sometimes in the pool, and big bugs. There is a reason for gated communities, and they have the HOA to deal with.

This is no laughing matter, folks. I live in FL, and I am quite concerned. The State is just a narrow peninsula, and a major hurricane has the potential to create havoc everywhere.
