If this is homework, why is he doing it at school? Unless. Ms Wormwood is visiting Calvin’s house to check up on him like Mr Hand did to Spicolli in “Fast Times at Ridgemont High”. Sean Penn’s first and only good movie role; it was all downhill after that.
I once walked away from the computer with a spread sheet I had created without saving it. I found out when I got back that the compute went through an automatic update. Could I have told the boss the computer ate my assignment?
i enjoyed math. I enjoyed basic algebraic formula. then it got a tad weird. i still use basic algebra. How many bags of concrete to fill a 14" diameter sonotube that is 52" deep with a 4X4 in it to the bottom, knowing a 4X4 is 3 1/2" X 3 1/2".
When I was a poor, young boy, books were precious. I was raised to consider breaking the spine of a book to be a capital crime. Of course, I loved my books, even my math books.
I’ve had math homework that was that agressive. First semester of University. Double-speed calculus. Had to drop that sucker with a W (incomplete) before I got an indelible F.

Stop giving Calvin things, miss Wormwood. He’s just going to turn them into a life or death situation.

When I was in elementary school, first thing every morning, students faced a chalkboard full of arithmetic problems. I’ve hated math ever since then!

It’s the Monster Book of Monsters! I bet JK Rowling got the idea from this strip.

J.K. Rowling might have borrowed this for her book of monsters.

Do you think this is where Rowling got her idea for a man-eating book in Harry Potter?

Chances of ‘Ms. Wormwood’ believing Calvin - can there be negative chances such as ‘-10 to 1’ ?
