I get my cards in the mail, from whoever is begging for donations. I use their cards and envelopes . I have no shame!

Well, you could get some 4×6 index cards, tape two together along one edge, write your message in pencil or ballpoint, and make your own envelope by folding a piece of printer paper that you stole from the office. But you’ll still have to pay for the stamp.

Tampa had a 39-cent shop. Lots of excellent cards. Just pick a pretty picture, open it up, scratch off the funny foreign words and write in, “Happy Birthday Mom”, or whatever…

He won’t likely find one. Maybe he should try to redo one he has received . . . that is, if he has actually received any. I suspect his cheap ways are a family thing.

He knows what and how he is. Whoever receives a card from him knows that, too.

If you’re that cheap, you won’t send a card.

I always had trouble finding a card for “ex-wife still in contact but not close friends” category.

Maybe some construction paper and some crayons. Then you can say you gave it the personal touch.
