Because of this, some say he was the first to place two feet on the summit of Everest.
The oarfish thing makes sense. Iirc, they’re deep sea fish so if one washes ashore that could be a sign of something seismic pushing them to the surface

Apparently Mount Tenpo is not Japan’s lowest mountain.
