“Too Many People” was a great song and Paul’s dig at John and Yoko in it was fairly subtle, but “How Do You Sleep” was a bit much. John later admitted that it was just an expression of how he felt in the moment, and that he didn’t really feel that way about Paul all the time. In fact, they later jammed together in LA and occasionally hung out in NY. One of the great “what if” scenarios came out of the latter, as John later said the two of them were watching Saturday Night Live together at the Dakota when Lorne Michaels offered to pay the Beatles some token amount to reunite on the show. John said they talked about going down to the studio for a laugh but in the end they were too lazy to bother.
Somehow I don’t see Kendrick Lamar and Drake just hanging out a few years from now, though I suppose they might make up one day. Not that I care much about them one way or another, to be honest.
people try to say the stone and beatles had a feud but it was manufactured by the media. the stones have always credited the beatles for opening america and Mick was the one to induct them to the rock and roll hall of fame. That being said the beatle song “And your bird can sing” was a dig at mick’s g/f. Paul was sick of hearing him go on and on about her.
Such genius in a cartoonist- cutting edge slices of life, and subtle but great expressions and stories in a few words and panels, often very funny too.
34 felonies don’t make you a “G” when you’re covered in Russian pee! You’re just a punker, hiding in your bunker, rolling like a junker, the only funk is from your tiny orange junk!
Supposedly a few of the lyrics in About Face, Momentary Lapse of Reason, and Division Bell were intended as snipes at Roger Waters. The Division Bell ones are more curious in that Gilmour didn’t write them.
Yeah, no mention of “Make My Day” Brandon but let’s address rap battles. Clueless. Maybe he’ll have something for the second debate. Let me save some time for you thinking you have a reply: “Waaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah but Trump’s a liar!!!!!!” I hope that captured your responses.

I notice that Gocomics has dropped Doonebury from the Political Cartoons section. They realized that this comic is no longer politically relevant.

I guess not every music “rivalry” can end up like Neil Young and Lynyrd Skynyrd.

Okay. I had to look this up in an article from Billboard. Now I get it and it’s kinda funny. I’m 73 and remember the Who and the Beatles, though. ; )

The history of “answer songs” is pretty entertaining. It started looooong before the ex-Beatles.

But he once hilariously said that he never heard of Bing Crosby and Perry Como getting into a gunfight argument over song lyrics
