sorting by last name is fine so long as you have solo artists and groups named after the lead singer – but a lot of acts have a group/band name that may have any number of words – and then there’s first name only acts like Adele, Cher, and Prince
my ‘collection’ is completely digital these days – sorted by genre and then by first name, whether it be a person or group – ignoring articles like “A” or “The”
