    I’ve always thought that learning could be something kids liked to do, all the time, the way I liked reading books, classics and even nonfiction. Heck, I was known as the kid who would read the dictionary. I’m sure I would have done better at math if some of the rote memorization was properly incorporated into a video game, but we didn’t have those when I was a kid.

    I get the joke, but mom may have ended the year because the kids all covered all of the material and were proficient in it by April. In the regular classes teachers have to aim at the C student. At home, student get the attention and are more likely to have higher test scores.
