Well … he’s not ready to bat - he’s standing on the right side of the plate with the bat on his right shoulder. He should just get his steps in by walking back into the dugout and then walking to home (as in his home home).

You’re supposed to run like crazy once you hit the ball.

The pros have 30 seconds to be ready to hit with at least 8 seconds remaining on the pitch clock or suffer an automatic strike … so shut up & “Play Ball” …!

Besides, Running comes across is so desperate.

Baseball games are too long and boring without getting in steps for step count.

No! Do an heel-and-toe footrace, but say “HI” to Who … he’s on First.

I hope that the absence of Day By Dave can be explained by a deadline or the national Invisibility Day holiday?

Well, he may not be able to hit the ball, but at least he’s polite.
