What’s called “AI” these days isn’t anything like what real intelligence seems to be. It’s really nothing but a humongous database of facts and factoids… that’s then been trained to come up with what is wanted when a question is asked. Altman is at worst only a semi-bogeyman because he does seem to have at least a LITTLE bit of ethics. Not counting the ethics of using un-paid for data.
Actually, on substance Biden won the debate. If you only look at clarity of speech, I guess you could say Trump won, but he spouted every lie he could think of and jumped like lightning from topic to topic and would not actually answer any of the questions.
So what’s the consensus here, if there is one? I forgot to watch, so I’ve no idea what happened or what, if anything, it means. There also seems to be a shortage of quality punditry this morning.
That Ted delivered this new cartoon as a major redirection (and one I don’t understand) suggests that he believes nothing worthwhile happened.
Biden’s insult that Trump has the morals of an alley cat probably lost him votes from cat-loving people for whom alley cats are just homeless, not immoral.
He’d have done much better to have referred to Trump as having the morals of a sewer rat instead.

The boys put out a DMZ last nite, apparently, they are going mystery science theatre and commenting on the debate live. I am listening to it now. Will report later. I have to commend the boys for having a female guest for the first time ever on this, their 153rd piece……………….Overall, after some initial sound quality issues, I did find the piece to be ok. I think everyone’s were fair in and of themselves. I’ll still take Biden’s staff over anything anyone else has out there. And I doubt Ted would ever address this fuller aspect of this important matter.
