I’m currently catching up on a YouTube series about movies filmed in Vancouver, BC. It’s organized by decade, and I hardly recognize any movies made after 2000. Can’t they just stop making movies? It’s too much!
I have a Rainbow calendar. It shows different photos of rainbows with a different rainbow motto for each month. The entry for this month is “The gold at the end of the rainbow is the Earth.” I mentioned that yesterday on Wallace The Brave and The Wizard of Id. However, I think it fits very well with this comic strip.
Music is just fine. The problem is the music industry, which is now completely corporate. It was completely corporate then, too, but the Counter Culture forced them to throw out the rule book and just let the musicians do what they wanted to do for a while.
And (ironically) the current, unimaginative Corporate Heads used to BE the Counter Culture.
Old pop culture was also better before I got old. All pop culture, old and new, sucks now because the corporations that pay to create and distribute it suck more than ever. But also there’s interactions that are pretty good that would have been impossible back then.

It’s kind of weird to think it was called pop culture in it’s own day.

I argue like this a lot. The frustrating part is I never win. The nice part is I never lose.

Better not have Marigold chime in over that last bit or this will turn into the Four Yorkshiremen sketch.

Everyone thinks things were better in their day. Well, not me; I KNOW that things were bet—

This is so much like SpongeBob not getting his driving essay written.

I like this story line and art work. Very creative and imaginative. I’ve seen other cartoonist try this before, but not quite was well.

Begging the question, ad hominem, and red herring.
