10 to 1, you put a beer in front of him he’ll recover

Hang over myth from my wasted youth, open a beer and let it go flat over night and chug it in the morning to cure a hangover. Heard it but never did it, thought almost made me sick.

Mentally or physically????

Hopefully it isn’t the zombie plague.

As I’ve mentioned before, Andy Capp is my favourite strip after my all-time favourite Calvin and Hobbes from which I take my username.

Today’s strip reminds me of a Calvin and Hobbes strip in which Calvin was complaining to Mom that he was feeling sick. Mom replied, “It’s a Saturday, you know. You won’t miss school.” Calvin replied, “I know.” The last panel showed Mom racing to the telephone.

Shocker. HUGE shocker today. Is this the end of the strip? Only time will tell.

Feed a cold — Starve a fever . . . or is it the other way around?

If he said he was going to look for a job, it would be time to pick out his funeral plot.

A cold and no beer? Sounds like Andy, too, has a cold and a bad night.

Forget the doctor, call an ambulance immediately!!

my advise is for Andy to do nyquil / night nurse shots.

Doctors making house calls? Pure fantasy!

I knew someone that was a really heavy smoker (practically a chain smoker). One year he had a really nasty flu and even he couldn’t face smoking during that time. Suddenly he realised that he’d gone 3 days without a cigarette and also noticed he had money in his pocket from not buying multiple packets. So he decided to keep going without smoking. And he did it. I thought that was amazing to go from multiple packs a day to nothing

What Andy needs is a beer with a shot pick me upper and one of Flo’s special well cooked breakfast. Either kill him or heal him.

Andy must be really sick!

Specify that Andy doesn’t have to pay for it, Flo.

I thought the British didn’t drink their beer cold.

Must be COVID if Andy lost his taste for beer.

I was in the emergency room once and my sister, who accompanied me, realized that I was really feeling miserable because I had not brought a book to read.

When Andy turns down a cold beer he is really sick

Twas the ‘cold’ that put him off, now a warm beer he’s good to go.

When Andy passes into the Great Beyond they will have to beat his liver to death!!

Is he going to die? Is the world about to end?

Doctors haven’t done home visits for years. But it’s a cartoon so I’ll let it drop. Haha.

Since when does Andy say “yuck” to a beer? It must be that bad.
