Felon45: already proven totally unfit for office by word and deed (or lack thereof with Covid). President Biden: significant achievements his first 2 years when there was a functioning House to actually pass legislation. No contest between the 2.

Bingo!! Clay has given us a “real choice”! Regardless of Biden’s “age”, he is an adult. Trump, as Clay has so adroitly drawn him, is a “raging, tantrum throwing” baby.

This “debate” about infant mortality rates…let’s look at the “Top 8” states as reported in November 2023 and then count the Red ones and the Blue ones. You can see the future of US healthcare under the love and care of the Christian Nationalist MAGAts.

These Are the 8 States with the Highest Fetal Mortality Rates starting with #1 (where my ignorant nephew and his wife live and who “are trying” to have a baby)

    Mississippi – 9.14

    Georgia – 7.90

    Arkansas – 7.42

    Alabama – 7.29

    Nevada – 7.00

    Florida – 6.81

    Tennessee – 6.39

    Arizona – 6.22

I see the trolls are giddy with excitement that their orange god Felon45 was in top form at the debate. Convict45 fired off lies at bump stock levels. lying, grifting, delusional, crack pot, wannabe dictator, racist, psychotic, unfit to be a dog catcher, egomaniac pile of sh%t didn’t disappoint. Good thing the stage was flat. A 2% incline would had given indictment45 bigly trouble. He would have needed his golf cart to make it to the podium.

The idea that we would return to the 1800’s on social values with a Trump presidency is a problem. Evangelicals are strongly supporting Trump. You would think that those who claim the moral high ground would be appalled by him. But they are not as mindless as they appear to be. They really want the entire country to share their beliefs, or at least to act like they do.

They don’t like abortions, and actually birth control.

They want everyone to attend church and believe in Jesus.

They would not just allow public prayer everywhere all the time, but demand that anyone not participating be punished.

They would not allow any evidence of any other religion, or lack thereof to be displayed in public. That kind of thing is frightening to them and they really really hate it.

And, Trump has promised them a christian version of the Taliban in America. This is quite a reach, considering that he doesn’t attend church himself and has shown absolutely no morals according to the dictates of any religion. The fact of the matter is, however, that he has never kept a campaign promise yet. If he is elected, we can be somewhat relaxed because he can be depended on to deliver on this promise the same time as all his others— in two weeks, and then another two weeks and then etc etc etc.

It is amazing to see how many of these people who are, in their own minds at least, a moral shining light actually are not ashamed of the fact that they are avidly supporting a person who is reliably dishonest in his business dealings and has the Family Values credentials of an extremely active tomcat.

I wish that Clay Bennett would take the trouble to educate himself on what the Constitution requires of a Commander-In-Chief for control of the US military. Babies don’t count. Trump executed that responsibility successfully for four years. Biden has flunked before even getting to 3.5.

After Biden’s debate performance, The Economist, where analysis already showed Biden losing the electoral vote, now sees Biden not even getting a majority of the popular vote – simply a plurality. They also see Republicans keeping the Senate and getting the House majority. And no, binary types, The Economist is a free-trade, politically moderate newspaper that fears a Trump presidency as much as all intelligent people do.

This from a Raw Story opinion piece. I could not agree more:

’This is a bottom up election.

No, our choice at the top — President Joe Biden — does not inspire.

But the threat of MAGA fascism, dressed up as populism, gives a level of urgency to check every Democratic box we can check in 2024: congressional races, statehouse races, county commissioner races, deputy dog catcher.

Let’s face it: Our presidential choice is between a racist, sexist, lying, would-be dictator or a stuttering old man who nevertheless supports policies to protect women’s health, the environment and public education; a warrior against corporate collusion to raise prices, drive down wages and slash regulations that protect the safety of everything from the drugs we depend on to the food we eat.

    Is that really a choice?

But for many Americans, it’s so much easier to support the liar who feeds the myth that he alone can fix the nation’s problems — of course, what Trump claims he is going to fix, he never fixes, and ironically, the reason so much is broke, is because he broke it.

It’s more difficult for those same Americans to back a guy who asks “us” to make our economy work for all Americans — and not the corporate cronies that Trump the amoeba snuggles up to, promising them access to unlimited wealth and power at the expense of the rest of us.

I urged the old guy not to run back in March 2023 because the urgency of the moment demanded a more inspiring leader.

But it is too late. Democrats must ride with Biden, faults and all, or watch democracy die in darkness.

The inspiration and motivation to do so must come from us in the face of the all out MAGA assault on our life, liberty and pursuit of happiness.

I have found the leader, and that leader is me, that leader is you, that leader is the millions of Americans who believe in a just, inclusive, sustainable future.’

Arnie Arnesen former fellow at the Harvard Institute of Politics.

trump01135809 is a cancer that should never be allowed to get back to the WH. No member of the ‘Republican’ Party, with their clear unquestioned support for that CONVICTED FELON/COUP PLOTTER and their unforgiveable treason of putting their personal and party’s interest over the betterment of the US and thus, the world, should be elected in any of the coming elections.

France will be Fascist next week. We’ll be in January. The 2nd Great Depression will start by summer unless China is stupid (though they may very well be desperate as their economy is contracting) and invades Taiwan before our economy collapses completely. So yes, your choices are a 2nd Great Depression or World War 3. Enjoy voting for the Orange Fuhrer. Make sure you get your brown and black shirt orders in soon. It’ll be the only way you’ll be able to keep a gun. And straight, white women enjoy your Handmaid’s Tale outfits and the demands that you pop out 3-5 kids. Going to need to populate the White Christian Nationalist Taliban country we’ll be. Or Vote Blue and keep Democracy.

Just remind yourself how many Americans died from “Covid”, between Jan. 1, 2020 and Jan. 6, 2021, then ask yourself; do you want more deaths in the U.S. , more chaos in general, possible loss of many of your rights, including the “right to vote”, then vote for Trump. If you want some semblance of order and leadership, vote Biden. Yes, yes, I know Biden is “too old”. But, there is no one else in the rest of the “Ship of Fools” of the Democrates’ Leadership who would have even a ghost of a chance of beating Trump.
