Interesting, I always thought pain to be a quack. Wasn’t he practicing medicine with his anti covid attacks back in the day?

Dr. Fauci worked with the changing SCIENCE to do all he could to save lives while trump said it would all go away in a couple of weeks then proceededat a press meeting on April 23rd, to announce, “So, supposing we hit the body with a tremendous — whether it’s ultraviolet or just very powerful light — and I think you said that that hasn’t been checked, but you’re going to test it. And then I said, supposing you brought the light inside the body, which you can do either through the skin or in some other way, and I think you said you’re going to test that, too. It sounds interesting. And then I see the disinfectant, where it knocks it out in a minute. One minute. And is there a way we can do something like that, by injection inside or almost a cleaning. Because you see it gets in the lungs, and it does a tremendous number on the lungs. So it would be interesting to check that.” Dr. Fauci saved lives and now must defend himself in committees run by the likes of gym jordan. Enough, already.

I don’t find any right-wing comments on this “cartoon” yet. Maybe those folks tried Trump’s suggestions, and then died of COVID?

I bet Payne is up to date on his COVID jabs. He probably has covertly sought jabs for shingles, RSV, flu, and the pneumococcal vaccine, too.

NORMALLY, I WOULDN’T CARE WHAT OTHERS DO ABOUT THEIR HEALTH; HOWEVER, THEIR STUPIDITY AND IGNORANCE COULD EFFECT MY FAMILY AND PEOPLE I CARE ABOUT SO, IF THESE PEOPLE DON’T GET VACCINATED AND DIE IT’S JUST A PLUS FOR AMERICA. WE DON’T NEED MORE IGNORANT PEOPLE SPREADING LIE, BULL$HIT AND CONTAGIOUS DISEASES. IF YOU CHOOSE TO BE UNVACCINATED AND GET A VIRUS…. DON’T GO TO THE HOSPITAL. YOU ALREADY MADE YOUR CHOICE. JUST TAKE YOUR IVERMECTIN SO YOU’RE WORM FREE WHEN WE STUFF YOU IN A BODY BAG.

Payne and the radical right worships a parasite, and reviles a dedicated scientist-physician who devoted a career to protecting people from them.

From Jennifer Rubin. WashPost today:Distinguished person of the week

Anthony S. Fauci’s memoir, “On Call: A Doctor’s Journey in Public Service,” provides a timely refresher on the career of a scientist who saved millions of lives here and around the globe. “When Fauci was appointed chief of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases in 1984, he expanded funding for AIDS research and scandalized his conservative colleagues by establishing a program dedicated exclusively to the disease,” The Post’s review recounts. “Later, he pushed the George W. Bush administration to enact the President’s Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR), a program that has saved millions of lives by distributing AIDS treatments around the globe.”Fauci weathered conflicts with Trump and attacks from Trump’s unscrupulous MAGA allies. But it was his roles in the rapid vaccine development and as a public health educator that Americans should remember. USA Today’s Susan Page writes, “Fauci became the nation’s communicator in chief, a hero to many Americans as a straight talker even when his candor put him at odds with the nation’s commander in chief.” (As for Trump, Fauci told USA Today, “Anybody who just egregiously doesn’t tell the truth worries me. … I think there would’ve been a lot more people taking vaccines if he actively promoted vaccine.”)

Dr. Fauci saved millions of lives with his work on AIDS and Ebola. He knows infectious disease, better than most people in his profession. I’m certain he has more knowledge of it in his little finger than Mr. Payne has in his entire family.

It’s sad, but not surprising, that the right wing has chosen him for one of their punching bags. They heard him, they ignored him, they died for the privilege. But at least they weren’t magnetic, and they didn’t have a tail, and they didn’t have government tracers implanted in them when they died, and that’s good for something, right?
