Gotta give that dog some real credit for this gig. Brought home Molly yesterday, she seems to be a quick learner and a loving girl. Very very skinny, she recently had puppies and then was dumped. We walked at 3:30 this morning to beat the heat. Hoping to get in a short hike up in Mammoth tomorrow morning, after that we are in for 105-114 for about the next 12 days. The only issue I see so far with her is she is going to take some work to get along with the cats.
My sister was driving home from work yesterday when she thought she saw a squirrel crossing the street. It turned out to be a tiny gray kitten! She (my sister) stopped by my house to show me the cute little baby. It’s a girl and SO adorable! (If you’re friends with me on Facebook PLEASE don’t say anything on my main page OK? Thanks.)
Hope those kitties have a sense of humor. I also hope those kitties don’t throw rotten tomatoes or eggs (or worse, bricks) at that doggie. On another note, saw seven robins, a rabbit, two Swainson’s thrushes, five juncos, two Wilson’s warblers, a wren, and a spotted towhee while out walking today.

Scraping the bottom of the barrel for talent again. Another couple of jokes and you’ll be scraping doggo off the floor.

Today is:
NATIONAL ANISETTE DAY
NATIONAL WILDLAND FIREFIGHTER DAY
WORLD UFO DAY (well, that’s what it says on Day by Dave, but wasn’t World UFO Day a while back? Maybe I’m not remembering right).
