A week ago, a midsized black hole was discovered in our own Milky Way only 18,000 light years from Earth. Three days ago, a Stegosaurus fossil was auctioned at Sotheby’s for over $44 million. Yesterday, a CrowdStrike software update to Microsoft software caused the largest computer malfunctions in world history affecting hundreds of millions of people.

Now software companies get hacked, lie that it was a bad update and bring down tons of computers causing havoc.

Why “mass,” “massive,” and “mass,” again? Is it because supermassive blackholes have an unknown upper limit?

Well that’s all well and good but I asked the batista for a “venti black coffee”.

Stellar-mass, supermassive and intermediate-mass are just naming conventions used by scientists to describe ranges of sizes for black holes. It doesn’t mean that black holes can only come in three specific sizes.
