Dad knows the truth, Floof. Only Mad Dogs (and Englishmen) go out in the midday sun. Mrs Olman is well covered.

Cats are actually crepuscular. I think their clocks only work for food.

Every day is a cat day! Missy eats during daylight hours, she most certainly is awake!

I see Syrius is busy digging. Our first dog would love to dig. Then our second dog as a puppy, just like Syrius, had the same habit.

I need a hat that covers me like that. One that won’t flip up at the rim at the slightest breeze.

Nancy, here is a book you may want to read by our own Becky Winch (laughingkitty): TEN CATS 7/22/24

laughingkitty about 12 hours ago Hey – where is everyone this morning?

By the way, I finished my second book “Let’s Get Happy – A Wanda Weir Adventure” and I sent it to my publisher and she loves it! Now I need to come up with a cover picture and I need to write a synopsis.

This is a sequel to my first book, “Wanda Weird”. Spoiler alert – the family dog, Brownie, gets cancer and the family has to deal with his illness and death. That really isn’t a “spoiler alert” because the synopsis will tell about that. It’s about how there is no wrong way to mourn the passing of a beloved pet. And it’s a chance for me to yell at cancer through Wanda’s younger brother, Kevin. Cancer sucks and young Kevin really tells it off when Brownie dies. After a while, they go to the animal shelter where they adopt a new dog, which they name Happy. I hope things will progress so my book can come out in January next year (my publisher likes to wait for the new year to publish rather than do it in the middle of the year).

I just love seeing Sirius away from the family and digging in the sand. The whole cartoon is adorable.

Shawm’s not wrong, but I don’t think “The Cat Nights of Summer” is an expression that will catch on.

Ahh. The beaches of Lake Ontario. (Although I do prefer Erie.)
