What Edgar saw before her husband clocked him on the back of his head.

for her Saturday night soak and scrub.

Though, of course, she’s undressed,

not seen here at her best.

She seems awkward, (and kind of a chub).

The moment she realised that she didn’t run the bath even though she sure she did.

In the winter, Marie may seem sweet/

But in summer, in spite of the heat,/

Her “water resistance”/

Keeps her friends at a distance/

Since she only washes her feet.

When he painted this unwashed backside/

All convention Ed Degas defied../

Did he mean to deride/

Odalisques “deified” ?/

One wonders just what is implied…

If I’d known this movie had a nude scene, I would have asked for more money.

Marie can’t fill the tub until she’s squashed all the bugs crawling around in it. This painting was the inspiration for the old Bobby Darin song: “Squish Squash (I Was Taking a Bath)”.

This is funny, but it actually happened to me, in the shower, in the gym. I can tell you that it is extremely difficult to dry off and get dressed when you can hardly move. Once dressed, I went to my car, opened the door, turned around and fell backwards into the driver’s seat. Drove straight to the see the doc.

Tomorrow morning I’m going to call about that walk-in tub.

By the time Hilda managed to get herself into the tub, the water had gone cold.

One time, I took a bath in one of those narrow, deep tubs they have in Europe. It was a nice soak, but I almost couldn’t get out of the tub. It’s so narrow that it’s very difficult turn over to get on your hands and knees in order to get to your feet to step out of the tub. I did a lot of flailing around (I’d pick up my feet to turn over and my head would duck under) until I finally managed it! I’m sure there’s a better way, but I never tried it again.

Without further ado/

She swiftly withdrew../

Which the Russians perceived as a snub..//

When the news reached the Moulin Rouge/

Audience reaction was huge/

In less than an hour/

She had switched to a shower/

Crying “Apres moi le deluge !”

She realized it was going to be an awkward moment when the home owner came home early and found out what the housekeeper was really doing.

Smart move, undressing to do the mural. All this red and green paint would have ruined my smock.

As she climbed in to the bathtub she realized Oscar would not fit?
