And it seems that the west coast of Canada is spared the destructive wildfires that plague the west coast of the US.

From Lynn’s Comments: I did miss the West Coast. I was very settled in Northern Ontario at the time, but it’s impossible to forget the ocean and the mountains of BC.

It still amazes me how just a whiff of a familiar smell will bring me back to a certain place or time of my life … and thankfully, it’s always a pleasant experience it reminds me of.

Wreck Beach is a pretty good reason to stay.

From Anchorage to Lima, I’ve loved every part of the west coast

And here comes Mr. Picky: there are no cedar trees native to Vancouver, or all of North America for that matter. What they have is Thuja plicata, sometimes called Western redcedar.

Here in Arizona we have a lot of “cedar” trees that are actually junipers.

Don’t they have occasional earthquakes and volcanoes along and near the west coast? Also, I think the gold may have run out, And then there are the fires.

I think Vancouver is my favorite city in Canada. There is so much to see and do there.

Time only moves forward, only our minds “Time Travel”

I can relate to this. If I had never left Missouri I would never have had my daughter and she has given me the most precious grandkids. Of course if I had stayed, there’s no telling who or what would have happened there. The road not traveled.

Grew up on the west coast. State side. I miss it now that I am in the Midwest. But it’s not the same now. So many people. So much has been bulldozed for housing and shopping that it’s been ruined.
