More than his rump was yellow. I guess it could have been a yellow tummied warbler, or a yellow crowned warbler, or a yellow bellied sap sucker. We need to consult the manual.

I’d say the bird ate too many Rice Krispies, but those go “Snap Crackle Pop.”

I have a bird in my bird house with a chick in August. I thought they did the nesting thing in the spring. Also this bird was trying to feed the chick in my other birdhouse early in the year and would be shooed away by the mother of that chick.

Jarvis should stop making excuses for the boy. Success and failure are learning tools in life. (Yes, I know it’s a cartoon but it still applies.)

I don’t think Jarvis was really impressed. He’s just good at his job.

Speaking of critters out of season. Saw a spotted fawn on a drive last week. Looked to be about 3-5 weeks old.

Yellow-Rumped Warbler is a real thing, bedad. But the yellow bits (on breast and just above the tail) aren’t all that conspicuous.
