I was thinking, maybe another sibling could take her place but I think this is the only one I’ve heard of in this strip. Dean, Heart, et al, all seem to be only children.
There were two of my daughters’ birthday parties where absolutely no one showed up. My advice – tell Mom right away. Re-scheduling may be needed. What you do is less important than who you do it with.
If it’s makeup as in cosmetics, she could have multiple guinea pigs at the party. Even guys do theater (family joke is that I’ve worn more makeup than my wife – last and maybe only time for her was our wedding, me for maybe 40 plays).

I had two guinea pigs. Then, one day, I had six.

Consider it your only birthday gift.

I’m sensing a pattern here.

I know the importance of Charlotte’s commitment. I too was a guinea pig for a friend’s college makeup test.

This looks like that old trick where everyone says they can’t come, then they’re all hiding in the room and come out screaming “SURPRISE!”

Swiss law requires the guinea pigs be sold in pairs. They need the companionship to thrive.

I thought you don’t want to keep guinea pigs in the same cage, since one may attack and kill the other.
Or is that another small furry animal that I’m thinking of?
