Happiness is mental in the sense that you need to allow yourself to be a bit mental in order to truly experience it. Too much reality will put a stop to it.
Happiness is obviously mental. Where does it exist beside your head? The flaw in the cliche is that you don’t have the degree of control required to turn it off and on. If we did, the market for intoxicants would shrink drastically.
