When I was first starting to ride a motorcycle the conventional wisdom was that most accidents (i.e. laying the bike down or hitting something) happened within the 1st two weeks of ownership or within 6miles of home. A neighbor confirmed that by riding a 650 BSA to the West Coast and back (from IN) and never had a problem until he was less than 6miles from home and laid it down on some gravel some idiot had spread over the highway.
I’m impressed that Rory got anywhere on a skateboard in a cow pasture. As Roger Miller observed, “you can’t roller skate in a buffalo herd.” Similar challenges here, I think.

Clumsy Carp from B.C. tripped over the only rock in sight. I think it was Peter who won the bet over B.C.
