Oh, I remember Guy Incognito, he was great in that thing!

Great character actors really make the movies worth watching, even if the “stars” supposedly sell the tickets!

Thing lives!

Wait, what thing was he in?

You know… THAT thing!

Oh yeah, THAT thing! … no, I didn’t see that thing!

Little known fact: At the end of his career he appeared in a single panel of a Reality Check comis.

One of the better parts of the internet is being able to figure out what the thing was.

That thing?

… That one with the stuff at that place that happened at that one time.

Who is that guy?

Get me that guy as the star of our next picture!

Get me somebody who’s that guy’s type.

Get me a young that guy.

Who WAS that guy?

Many people will end up as a “guy in that thing” but it will be a body in a coffin.

I don’t know how character actors feel about being known as “that guy”, or “that woman”, but at least the ones we all recognize are making a decent living at their chosen profession.

Some of my favorite actors are/were character actors. Richard Farnsworth, Thelma Ritter, Steve Buscemi, Chill Wills, Woody Strode, Mercedes McCambridge… The list goes on and on

It’s the scene stealers you never forget, but still don’t know their names. Like Stephan Stucker. If the name doesn’t ring a bell, google it. That’s what I had to do ‘cause I didn’t know his name either.

He’s looking better than the guy who played The Thing from Another World. You know Peter Duesler Aurness, James Arness’ brother.

Childhood /early teens,spent with TV Westerns, a couple dozen actors were guest stars in all of them.

It’s definitely what’s-his-name.
