A farmer separated the bulls and cows to prepare them for the mating season a few days later. He had built a wall with barbed wires on top.

A young bull could not resist his temptations and wanted to mate a cow.

Other bulls told him there was one veteran consultant bull amongst them that could help.

The bull went to him and asked how to cross the wall to the cows.

The consultant bull explained: “First of all.. stand 60 feet away from the wall. Then run at 60mph. Then jump at a 60° angle. Do what you want and then come back the same way.”

The bull asked: “But what if I mess up with the calculations and lose my jewels in the barbed wires?”

The consultant bull said: “Then, you become a consultant.”

Pretty sure I’ve heard the word ‘dewlap’ before, but it wasn’t in THIS context.

I can see where having a triphalangeal thumb would be good for hitchhiking but, to keep with today’s theme, what does it have to do with mating?

Funny, it reminds me of when I raised carrier pigeons. The male would strut and puff up to attract the female.

The entire life cycle of the Luna Moth is about 7-8 weeks. In the caterpillar stage, it has a mouth and eats leaves.

I have green anole lizards that can change colors to tan / dark grey that like to hang out on the deck. I find if I wiggle my eyebrow up and down, they will start to bob their heads up and down and display their red dewlaps – they’re less skittish than the five lined skinks that just run and hide but the juveniles have bright blue tails

But it doesn’t improve your hitch-hiking ability

That thumb could come in “handy” when you’re all thumbs.

A longer reaching thumb could be a game changer for those who find themselve sitting on the hands. “Oh, the depth they’ll reach!”

Well, mating would be purposeless unless it lives long enough to lay eggs. Jus’ sayin’.
