I’m surprised to see some logic out of Berle’s mouth today hmm

Reminds me of harsh times when we were authorized up to 32 hours of OT per week, Not much left of you at the end of the week but tatters.

Can’t hit the “LIKE” button hard enough for this cartoon’s sentiment!

Occasionally, or emergencies… okay.

Inventory, yeah I’ll work some overtime to finish getting ready.

Hurricane hits the area, no damage at home, sure I’ll work extra for a bit.

otherwise… nope.

Even if I work overtime, I’m not worth paying time and a half after an 8 hour shift

I disliked doing overtime.

Food for thought……….

Yes but he said “you can work all the overtime you want” So just work a little here and there for some extra dough.

You got that right. A company that needs a lot of overtime committment is not a well-run company.

I was once accused of not being a “team player” because, even though I was doing the work of 3 engineers and going to Uni in the evenings, I didn’t stay and do overtime. I told the accuser that if they worked more efficiently, they’d get their work done. I pointed out that I had finished a job I was allocated 280 hours for in 40 hours so they took my extra hours and gave them to the people who loafed off all day.
