Looks like the table is going to open down.

And it looks like a space will open, but it will no longer have a table.

Don’t think so, hinges and lock are on top, that table isn’t going anywhere, now if it had spring hinges, then yes, the ‘spot’ would open up.

If so, that means Ziggy will leave without having to pay.

It would release him from paying for the meal

Looks like the “Zigster” may be headed for a quick exit!

Today’s cartoon shows how unfair restaurants are to single people who like to dine out. I feel for Ziggy in this one where he likes the cuisine of this place but, it’s clear they want him out. It’s something a single can’t laugh at. Sorry.

Ziggy is a fall guy once again! :(
