Well, now they know that doesn’t work…………

It is a part of all medical studies. Some of the subjects are going to die or suffer other negative outcomes. The question is whether the drug being tested is associated with (or even causes) a lower rate of negative outcomes.

You should have looked both ways before crossing the street.

But, on the plus side, at least there was no side effects. Soooo, there’s that!

A few year from now, they’ll find out you were actually better off that way.

Some people with certain ailments have responded well to the placebo effect. And I recall one study that was getting such good results with the trial medicine, they got special permission to try it on everyone.

He probably had a heart attack climbing the Stairway (to Heaven)

It was a double-blind study for the visually impaired.

It’s August. Too soon to see something that looks like snow. It’s already getting cooler here.

You have to be careful. I became addicted to placebos.

My doctor told me I was suffering from acute hypochondria, and put me on a prescription-strength placebo.

Is placebo the generic name for M & M’s? :)

And he really wasn’t a hypochondriac after all.

I guess the placebo was heaven sent.

probably better that than getting some crazy side effect… like incessant incurable diarrhea!

Acupuncture and homeopathy are based on the placebo effect and nothing else.

Of course, the people who got the real drug arrived a month ago….
