Should’ve known Garfield

I don’t like Tofu, and the feeling is mutual.

Tofu isn’t food, it’s Japan’s revenge for losing WWII.

I’m with Garfield on this one. A “tofu burger” sounds like an oxymoron. ;)

Tofu or not tofu. That is the questions.

No, Tofu Burgers definitely aren’t the Monday of foods. Mondays atleast have some flavour.

It’s tofu, it is not meat, therefore it is a tofu sandwich not a burger. You need meat for a burger.

Prepared like that it’s the equivalent of some raw meat and nothing else between the bun halfs.

If it were pressed in the shape of an actual burger, as well as colored like one and engineered to actually taste like one, then Garfield would be fooled.

UGH just doesn’t cover it. Tofu needs its own descriptive word.

Just pour some chocolate over it! Then decorate with cookie crumbles!

I’ve had tofu recipes, mostly Asian, that were not bad. But they didn’t pretend to be something they weren’t.

You must explain to Jon that he can buy a soy-burger that looks like a burger, not just stick a block of tofu in like a lonely stick of butter,

Tofu is okay if you deep fry it, but the same goes for just about everything.

Well if Jon made it, of course. However Tofu is a flavor sponge, I alway freeze ice cube trays of home made beef, chicken and vegetable broths. Thaw and put some firm Tofu in it and it will soak up that flavor. Then use the Tofu in what ever dish you are making.

That’s just depressing.

All joking aside, it really depends on how you prepare it.

For several years, a local sandwich shop used to offer teriyaki-marinated tofu as the protein in their sandwiches. Combined with lettuce, tomato and other sandwich veggies, it was really good.

How about a cold tuna salad sandwich then? Would that please you sir?

Jon finally found some food that you won’t steal.

I would not eat a tofu burger, but I love it in hot and sour soup.

i can’t even fathom the thought of eating tofu, my parents love it though. i just can’t see why it’s good, there’s nothing special about it
