The book is much better anyway. I loved the 1984 film, and the TV series was good too.

Jay just wants her out of their hair for as long as he can. Can’t blame him.

To make it even more confusing, there is also the movie with Jean-Luc Picard.

Once again the comics and the comments save me wasted days watching movies I might have frittered my time away on. (yeah, not ‘proper’ sentence structure, but it’s how I think)

Willy Wonka? I don’t remember Gene Wilder being in any of the Dune adaptations.

Love Rita’s determination. As a teen I read the first book after seeing the David Lynch movie. I loved the movie, but I found the book boring. I told myself “This is considered one of the greatest sci-fi masterpieces and there must be a reason!” I read up to the fourth book, finding them all boring, before deciding to stop and forget about “Dune” forever.

You really want to challenge her? Give her a copy of Samuel R. Delaney’s “Dahlgren”. (The sit back and enjoy the screaming).

… and you gotta love Jay for his stance, and bravery. Just hope Rita never finds out …
