Not sticky enough……….

It is the fake stuff that gets you.

That is a thief prevention feature.

Leather doesn’t get hot like vinyl does. Leather is used for horse saddles. Fake leathers and vinyl gets very hot and sticky.

I remember a summer vacation to Las Vegas with my parents in 1969. Dad had just bought a new car and payed extra for black naugahyde seats. I jumped into the car wearing a pair of shorts. I actually had blisters on my legs from it.

I doubt they get any hotter than the vinyl seats I remember from the 1970s.

Must be in Texas. About to die down here.

Learned early on not to wear shorts when getting in a car in Phoenix

I’ve never had a problem with the seats in any car when the weather was hot. I have had a couple of cars where the steering wheel got so hot I had to wear gloves to drive.

So where is he right now?

Leather, or vinyl seats, Summer sun, and shorts do not mix well.

not as hot as the Fingerhut vinyl covers my folks’ car had.
