My husband once made a beef stew that came out an absolutely disgusting shade of green. His father & I were hesitant to try it – heck, so was he – but it was easily the best-tasting beef stew I’ve ever had.

With all the lasagna he cooks, you’d think he’d do better.

A lot of men are good cooks.

My mother (and subsequently my wife) made great meat loaf. Never any pickles.

Pickles in meat loaf? Here in my part of the Midwest it has always been onion.

I never had meatloaf with pickles in it. Now mushrooms and Heinz 57 would be ok! I used to make it that way for my husband!
