Me too, Mike. As a Teacher, summer months are my favorite season but the season goes just too fast. Time flies when you enjoy and don’t have enough time to savor it.

No, the days aren’t longer – they’re all still 24-hours apiece.

Rhetta’s right eye appears to be making a move to jump off her head.

Not to mention that the summer climate in Canada is much more pleasant than in much of the USA.

Such wisdom.

The long and the short of it…

One thing I can never figure out, why is August placed on the calendar as the EIGHTH month – when the Greek letters OCT means that October should be the EIGHTH month of the year?

Unless you’re a parent, then they’re sooooooo long :D

I’m not going back! I will vote a straight Democratic ticket in November!

It is funny. July and August both have 31 days and are the shortest months of the year and February with 28 or 29 days is the longest!

This strip is always wonderful to visit.

We always had three months of summer vacation. What happened to June?

Hey! It just dawned on me that we never got to see Tracey throw the bridal bouquet and the mad female scrammble for it.

I forget if they got married later on.

I, too, feel summer is the shortest season cuz I like it the most!

That is correct. The summer solstice in June has the longest daylight of any day of the year. Subsequent days have one less minute of daylight apiece until the winter solstice is reached in December, after which the days get an increasing minute of daylight apiece.

I’m ready for the fall and cooler days ahead

Just like February, the shortest month of the year, always takes twice as long to plod along as any two of the others combined!!!!

I was hoping she’d finally figure out they need to say goodbye permanently.

It’s been a great summer, but I look forward to the cool days of fall.

When I was a young, romantic kid, I felt the same way. Now, the summer feels like it’s 8 months long.

Or so it feels…

And February is the longest! There may only be 28 days (and sometimes 29), but they’re all 48 hours long!

Yeah, I remember those days too. Change is constant and nature remains of impermanence and reality! Sucks doesn’t it! ;-)

And t he days dwindle down….to a precious few…September…November…..
