I like it when a comic strip makes me genuinely happy.

When my grandson was about 8 I think we took him to Galveston, Texas. The day after we got there there was a tropical storm. Not a terrible one but windy and rainy. Garett wanted to get in the gulf and swim. I told him we couldn’t with the storm but I did take him down just to the edge of the water to play for just a few minutes. We had fun and good memories.

Am I mistaken or is Petey actually smiling? I don’t think I have ever seen that before!

I’m so glad this trip ended nicely for them.
