A lady is walking down the street and sees a parrot in the window of a pet store.
She stops to admire the bird. The parrot says to her, “Hey lady, you are really ugly.”
Well, the lady is furious! She storms past the store to her work.
The next day she sees the same parrot in the window. When the parrot sees her it says, “Hey lady, you are really ugly.” She’s livid, and storms off.
A day later she sees the same parrot and once again it says, “Hey lady, my God are you ugly.”
The lady is so furious that she marches into the store and threatens to sue the store and have the bird killed. The store manager apologizes profusely and promises the bird won’t say it again.
The next day when the lady walks past the store the parrot says to her, “Hey lady. Lady!”
She pauses, scowls with an icy stare, and says, “Yes?”
As a child, sleeping in the country at my grandparents’ house, I did worry about spiders crawling into my ears. I used to wad toilet tissue in my ears: spider free!
I saw a TV program about Earwigs and how they would get into a person’s ear while they were sleeping. They would lay their eggs and then the larvae would eat the person’s brain.
I once had a classmate who, as a child, had a clicking in his right ear. You could put your ear up against his and hear the click, click, click. The doctors said that nothing was visible in his ear. His mother even snuck into his bedroom when he was asleep and put her ear to his to make sure he was not purposely doing it. It was still going click, click, click. I can’t remember what ever happened. I think it just went away as he got older.

That was Morse Code. The spider had a message for you. Probably something about your snoring.

Penguins also have individual and unique feather patterns, that is how we tell them apart at the zoo.
