When I taught classes in theatre skills, I would include a session in dealing with “Stage Fright”. I would use the advice of Red Skelton in channeling the thrill into an energetic performance. I would add a warning that the thrill was addictive and required the occasional performace to satisfy.
As part of a show I attended, Penn & Teller announced they were going to pull a rabbit out of a hat because they researched it and discovered that, in spite of the cliche, no magician ever did it.
