    Just when the squirrel finally seemed to have caught on to the cats’ tricks, he lets himself be conned into paying three fines! There’s a sucker born every minute.

    Yesterday afternoon I had to put down Boots- my last inside cat. I do have a feral cat I’ve feeding since she was weaned, but she won’t even approach her food until I’m back in he house- although she’s not shy about meowing if I’m late. In May I discovered some tumors on Boots belly, Rushed her to the Vet. The Xray showed they hadn’t spread as far as he could tell, but to even biopsy would be major surgery & she was 14 years old. I wouldn’t have put her through Chemo anyway. He gave me a tube of antibiotic to rub on them & one to take orally.Luckily it came in a liquid I could just shoot in her mouth from a syringe. A month later it didn’t improve or as far as we could tell didn’t spread. He changed the oral to a pain med and was was doing okay for 2 months, Either they were slowly spreading inside (it didn’t seem like it when I looked of felt her) until a couple of weeks ago. She was still managing it. Then a few days ago she slowed down and on Thursday she started looking at me with please make it stop- even after getting her pain med. Yesterday she really crashed. When I went to get her, she did slightly panic & managed to run to the bedroom & get under the bad. After I got her out, she went into her carrier with very little fuss and at the Vet’s when I took her out & sat with her in my lap while waiting, she just let me hug & cuddle her. Usually she only liked cuddling when we were on the bed. She just looked at me sweetly as I was crying & telling her I loved her. Last night was so tough. She usually tries to get me to bed early & I was on the computer missing her telling me to get to bed. Through the night I kept looking to see if she had come to bed as she would come and often through the night then remember she wasn’t here now. Also if I stayed in bed to late, she’d come in. I missed her so much this morning. Now I have to put away all her things,

    I’m still short of my goal in my campaign. Next week is the inspections and i have enough for the house inspection, but i’m still short for the septic inspection. It’s going to be pumped before i move in, but the inspection is still a good idea. You can find my campaign at GoFundMe by looking for the campaign name;

    I’m having problems with the NFL on ESPN ads that started today. Multiple times in every strip. Notified GoComics but no resolution yet. I don’t have a TV and I despise football! (8 times during this strip!)

    I’m so very sorry for your loss. You did the right thing for your dear Boots, and ended her suffering and pain. The pain we suffer from losing a beloved pet is all part of the cost of loving them, and well worth it, IMO. Perhaps one day your feral friend may come inside, or you may be adopted by another cat. Purrs and head bunts…

    That’s telling her, Squirrel! (Sort of.) I wonder how many shrimp it takes to pay three fines. On another note, saw three chickadees and a wren while out walking today.
