What states have magpies?

In Canada, they are found in far Western Ontario, Manitoba, Saskatchewan, Alberta, British Columbia, and Yukon.”
No question in them handling winter places but not indicated on the east coast.

“Magpies (Pica) – North American Magpies – Birds of North AmericaThere are two types of magpies found in North America. Both species are found on the western coast and into the central regions of the continent.”
Magpie Calls. You’ll need to turn this up a bunch as the sound level is way low. Those are the sounds the ones here make, other varieties may vary.
To WDemBlk – I’m sorry to hear of the passing of your dear, beloved Boots. I’m glad you were with her as she passed. I know she appreciated feeling your love as she crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
I bet it was Oliver who thought up Annie Day. A good idea, too bad they can’t give Annie some peace and quiet. (Maybe that was too much to ask for.) On another note, saw four wrens, two juncos, a chickadee, a woodpecker, three dragonflies, and two spotted towhees while out walking today.
