when I was a kid we had some huge oak trees in and around the yard… altho raking wasn’t a whole lotta fun, it was good exercise, and we got to make huge mountains of leaves which we would jump into… and I just loved the smell of those leaves. Also, back in the day, we were allowed by the city to burn them, and I loved the smell of that to boot… good times, good times!

Here’s hoping the day doesn’t get windy.

This looks like a punishment. I wonder what Norm did now?

Good luck, Norm. I had several thousand leaves fall in my yard last night.

Don’t rake, compost.

Blowtorch the tree; it’ll be over in an hour (including the fire engines!)

Ralph should buy a Patriot Missile Anti-Leaf system.

The only trees dropping many leaves at this time are the Honey Locust. The others will drop pretty much all at once in about 2 or 3 more weeks.

I blow leaves onto the driveway and mulch them with an electric mower. December is when I have the roof, gutters and downspouts cleaned.

Leaves don’t fall, they glide gently, and marvel at their one chance to soar.

Way to make a sport of it though.

Better yet, just wait until December (or at least the day before the first forecast snowfall) to rake the leaves.
