My question is: Is Zoltar there a representation of Jim Toomey, who would actually be drawing the future strips, or is a representation of Zoltar from the movie Big (Tom Hanks)?
Loveless? Probably. But “lonely”? He’s surrounded by and in constant contact with others. And he doesn’t appear to feel “lonely”; he tends to like being alone.

The only fortune Zoltar gets is the fortune he’s making Hawthorn. Leave it to the crab to “give” a “gift” to the lagoon that will make him money.

I wonder if Zoltar will tell Hawthorne’s fortune that he’ll be a self-centered penny pincher for the rest of his life?
