At 69 I’m definitely a pluger. Some resealable bags I can reseal. Others not. Most not.

I use those GripStic bag clips. True air-tight sealing.

Seal a bag? I can’t even get them open without using my electric knife. If these kook environmentalists were serious, they would go after all this super sealed plastic heat wrapped around almost anything we buy these days.

Some packages reseal so well, you can’t re-open them.

Can’t stand that husband tears bags open instead of using scissors for a clean cut.

You start at one end and if it doesn’t work you try the other. Sometimes all you have todo is start in half an inch. It’s rare that one doesn’t work.

Opening them is easy. But once you cut them open, resealing isn’t possible without glue.

And it doesn’t help when they print ‘Tear Here’ below the resealable strip that you can’t see until after you tear at the marked location.

Really? I’ve never had a problem at all with that. Except for the bags that were poorly designed, so it was about impossible to open them without spoiling the seal.

How much more expensive would it be to have those bags come with a slide-zip tabby thingy………..?

I prefer nuts, because I can smell what’s inside before I start opening.

Who green-lit the cereal bags with a zipper flap opening three inches down from the top? Sadistic clown.

I have pretty good luck with most resealable bags. The heavy-duty one for my Bohea Tea has a seal that closes well but is the Devil’s own business to get open again. My wife just ignores the seal and leaves the bags open. With her favorite pretzels, that is not much of a problem as they never last long enough to go stale.

Splenda Brown Sugar Blend is the absolute worst for this. The zip seal tracks are simply too small and the sweetener particles jam them up.

Most others work fine. Start from the ends and work inward rather than trying to zip-pinch rapidly along the whole track.
