Those pumpkins don’t look real stable in that wagon. If you don’t pay attention they’re going to fall right on your precious children.

Love the different colors (white) of pumpkins and the new types of squashes introduced the past few years, lots of variety available.

We had a rule for the kids when hunting pumpkins in the pumpkin patch. You could have any pumpkin you wanted, but you had to carry it out.

And a week or so later there were pumpkin brains all over the porch, lawn, and street.

Wife made arrangement to take our 3 dogs to a new vet. Last minute she backs out of helping. I came to realize for her, when the going gets tough she won’t help.

Wanda gets to be the one to make pumpkin pies out of them!

Why did the kids even came if they aren’t gonna help?

The deer are starting to come down from the near by ridge and ‘dispose’ of the Jack-O-Lanterns on people’s porches. They also fertilize the yards as a thank you.

Also pumpkin bread is easier to make than pumpkin pie.

When my little boy back then 35 years ago, in preschool went to a pumpkin patch, he was excited he brought in a very tiny pumpkin. I had to be happy for him, pumpkin he could hold in his hands.

Hammie is probably thinking of crawling inside one of them! The more gross the better! Can almost hearing the squeals of his sisters as he now has something to torment, especially the older sister.

The best solution for Darryl is to show the pumpkins to Wanda with great enthusiasm and excitement, telling her she was absolutely right and regaling her with all kinds of stories about what a wonderful time he had — with special emphasis on how much he’s looking forward to doing it again next year.

She’ll never let him near a pumpkin patch again.

Darryl, of course, could have said, “Sorry, kids, pick pumpkins that you can carry.” On the other hand, they now have the potential for several pounds of roasted pumpkin seeds. Yum!
