Secret to get rid of earworms is to sing a short commercial jingle like alka seltzer’s “Plop, plop, fizz, fizz, oh what a relief it is”. Jingles are too short to become earworms.

Try it the next time you can’t get a song out of your head.

Don’t mess with Beatles Fans. You could be singing “You Know My Name, Look up the Number.”

[nerd alert] Great classic science fiction novel “The Demolished Man” by Alfred Bester.

Knowing that murders are investigated by telepathic detectives, a billionaire seeks out the most annoying earworm ever written. His plan is to think about the song whenever he’s questioned.

I like Monty’s solution to the earworm problem; the Beatles have so many good songs, there’s bound to be one that can knock out the earworm. And if the Beatles song that does the trick gets stuck in your head in turn, you just need to think of another Beatles song to displace that one….

I don’t get ear worms but I do have loud tinnitus. I wonder if they’re related.

I’ve mainly listened to Revolution 9 at 78. Then switched back to 33 for Good Night.

Warning – Do not go to the Neil Diamond Broadway musical “A Beautiful Noise” if you don’t want to have a certain sing-along song in your head for the following 2 or 3 days. Not So Good.

I had “Puff the Magic Dragon” stuck in my head on a three-day interstate move, when I was eight. No, it was just another song to me.
