“And I don’t need to breathe, so outer space is no problem!”
- – - -
A logical conclusion for a fantasy storyline being unlikely, I’ll turn to a combination classics comic update for the 15th and 16th:
Bill is headed out of town, and Avery’s the man to get everyone to the station so the Alley Cats can see him off. Only flivvers are notoriously skimpy on trunk space, so where to put the luggage?
If Moonglow isn’t going to listen to reason, Crazy Quilt decides to appeal to a higher power. Of course now that we’ve established what kind of woman the Chief’s daughter is… all we are left with is haggling on the price.
After Scott Hunter kicks Gracie out of his office, she ends up back with her night visitor, who has a job she’d be poifect for. Wouldn’t even have to give up her college dream – if they don’t get caught.
The closer Rufus gets to City Hall, the more he starts to doubt that it’s just Miss Melba’s personal belongings in this suitcase he’s carrying right into the arms of the police. I’m told that last mile is the longest.
Ida Noe the evil magic doll has already tried to kill these children once, by taking them back in time to the horrors of the Civil War [3/27/23], but has now realized that it would be much more efficient to simply transport them beyond the Earth’s atmosphere, where they will quickly asphyxiate.

Does Scancarelli ever pick a story line and stick with it? He is so easily distracted.

From today’s Comics Curmudgeon:

Writing reports about something you don’t know nothing about has never stopped the US Government, so why should it stop these kids?
