Me: “Why is there a stapler in the trash? Is it broken?”
Coworker: “No, it’s just out of staples.”
Me: “But it’s not broken or anything?”
Coworker: “Uh… no, just empty.”
I pick the stapler out of the trash and take it to the stationery cupboard. I open the box of staples and refill it, go back to my desk, and staple some documents together.

But chalk is edible. It’s a good source of calcium. It’s used in antacids and meds for loose bowels.
