Very funny. XD I bet Chesney didn’t see that coming. (Looks like Annie didn’t either.) Maybe this will teach him not to hassle Annie while she’s blowing bubbles. (Then again, maybe not.) On another note, saw a wren, three nuthatches, a dragonfly, a rabbit, and two juncos while out walking today.
i have a standing bird bath that the sides are very sloped, so i have put a planter bottom (the kind that catches excess water) in the bird bath with a brick to hold it in place. the deer will drink out of the planter bottom, and then to get the water under it, will push it out of the way. today a older fawn got on his hind legs, forelegs on the bird bath rim just to get the few last drops out of the bottom. i was laughing so hard that it didn’t occur to me to get a photo. it has been dry enough that the two ground bird baths and a dishpan that i fill for the deer (and anyone else), have been almost bone dry.
