Interesting strategy . . . I’ve really never scheduled my naps in advance. They usually just kind of happen. Mostly when I want to read or watch a movie.
We are hoping to finally have our highs not hit 100 here. It has been nice and cool in the mornings. It was 65 when I got up this morning. But still to hot during the day. Hoping it gets cooler soon.
The day is not yet over, so much depends on my interest in playing games on my computer or texting with friends. Otherwise the cats are here napping off and on. Sometimes I have to disturb there nap to take my own when they’re on my bed. They just hop back up and keep me warm. Better than any electric blanket.
Hmmmm, luscious nap? check! Good Food…homemade fried chicken?…check! Autumnal leaves…ever so slight change, but one sugar maple burst out in 1/2 red cloak, so…yeah…big check for that effort, Mable. And…crisp moving air, comfy fleece over favorite old sweater combined with Cat curled up sending its palpable waves of contentment all over the place. God Bless, have a good ‘un….and we’ll see ya tomorrow!
Oh, I’d love to sneak in a nap! But, I need to catch up on a few things around the house, and try to get ahead for the coming week. Hey, I said, try ☺️
I enjoyed a fall yesterday. Slipped on the outside stairs, sprained my ankle. Thankfully nothing was broken (a quick trip-giggle giggle to the Patient First Office near my house), I already had an orthopedic brace for the ankle, and spent the afternoon with it elevated and packed on ice. Today I can walk in the brace on even surfaces, wiggle my toes and do small ankle circles. Uneven surface walking is still painful, so I am house bound, and BORED. TO. TEARS! And of course this is the last nice day we are expecting this week.
Sorry to rant at everyone today. I will behave better tomorrow.
Sundays were specifically made for napping. (Even better when I go to early Mass.) Saturday saw me at the Gem & Mineral Show (shiny!) and at the Hallmark Ornament Debut (shinier!)
I had to work today, but I work in an outdoor nursery. I get to water the plants and watch the leaves changing, the dragonflies and butterflies. I also saw 3 red tailed, hawks!
We had fun yesterday getting lunch and taking a walk in a favorite part of town, going to an October Fest that was WAY to crowded and ditching that for a favorite brewery instead, then finished up with a flea market at an antique mall. Today cleaned the house and grocery shopped. Whew!
On Saturday, I did door knocking for Democratic candidates running to try to correct the mess in the Oklahoma legislature. Sunday, I went to church and came home to have a nice nap.
Tomorrow is Canadian Thanksgiving. I spent most of the day cooking and cleaning. I had my daughter over today. I made cornbread, peach compote, Asian style rice with beef broth peas and shrimp, baked a sweet potato and the turkey legs and breast are in the oven. Still have stove top stuffing and Mac and cheese. The girls teased and said I ordered takeout and put it in serving dishes. I like my new ovenware/serving dishes. Still lots of dishes to wash. ◑﹏◐

I will be here to leave a comment, if I can think of anything to say (and maybe if I can’t).
I went to the beach today, does that count?

Beautiful sunrise this morning, though 40°f was a bit chilly.

I do indeed intend to take a nap this afternoon — to sleep, perchance to dream…. (no, no, not like that). But dream, big or not.
Washed outside of windows yesterday. And my A/C is out.

Bad Saturday night for sleeping. Lots of arthritis pain due to rain and humidity. After Mass on Sunday, I had a nice nap . . . It’s still raining!

I interacted with a cat several times. She likes to mark her humans’ feet.

I had to pack away the bathroom stuff as it will be remodeled starting Monday. Down to the studs and floor joists. Goodbye 1972, hello 2024.

Back in the day, I could have tolerated the avocado green, but now? :)
