Anyone who uses that idiot phrase doesn’t know where it originated (hint: 19th century). It’s used to shut down discussion and opposing views. Some of us actually read and think (we don’t live on social media), are over the age of 70 and have watched the nation (and the world) change over the decades—and the changes have not been good. Always research first before using the term to apply to any controversial subject.
