Bloomberg raises a good point; why are we still voting on Tuesday? And why are we penalizing hourly workers who sacrifice pay to vote? It should be a national holiday.
’The Economist cares that Trump’s economic “policies would be inflationary, potentially setting up a conflict with the Federal Reserve. They would risk igniting a trade war that would ultimately impoverish America.”
Trump’s policies are worse, the world is more perilous and many of the sober, responsible people who reined in his worst instincts during his first term have been replaced by true believers, toadies and chancers.
Trump’s political ‘genius’ is for turning people against each other. After the death of George Floyd, he suggested the army shoot protesters in the leg. America’s prosperity depends on the idea that people are treated fairly, regardless of their politics…’
Pro tip: When you fire someone, you don’t wanna rehire them for a job after they tried to burn down the business. Especially when they are saying that if you hire them again, this time they’ll burn down your whole town in addition to burning down your business.
It has ALWAYS taken a long time to get the full results. They call it that night or the next day, but they don’t have the full results. Boards of elections usually post the official numbers about a month later.
What’s recent is having an ignorant loudmouth claim that there’s something suspicious about that, and everything is rigged. But only if he loses.
You can vote as early as 7;00 am and as late as 8:00pm here in person. If you can’t make mail-in or early voting work you probably shouldn’t be voting anyway. You don’t care enough to make that “sacrifice “ to exercise the privilege of voting.
Should we feel sympathy for old time GOP pundits that realize orange Hitler is really bad but say they can’t vote for Kamala Harris because… Because! Please, for once in your lives do something because it’s the right thing to do.
It’s been two weeks? since Trump promised to install tariffs with the implication that there would be plenty of money to run the government without taxes and that other countries would pay for them.
In that time, there have been NO COMMENT FROM ANY MAGAT about tariffs that I have seen.
Do they even know what a tariff is? Can such a large group of people possible be THAT ignorant?
There are over 2000 living languages in Africa (520 of them are in Nigeria!)
Why do I say that?
Nearly a lifetime ago, I went to a tech school with a member of the Gerber family – of Gerber Baby Food fame. ’Nice guy. We used to tease him that he was the baby on the label. (He wasn’t).
He told us a story about his family business when it was trying to bring forth their products to market in Africa.
Because of the number of languages, the African custom of selling a foodstuff was pretty basic – you put a label on the jar with a picture of the contents. Strawberry jam would have a picture of a strawberry on the jar. ’Makes good sense given the circumstances.
The Gerber Baby Food line was not, shall we say, penetrating the marketplace as the family had hoped – until someone pointed out the obvious . . .
I’d pretty much forgotten about this until this week – when I saw Donald Trump standing in front of a garbage truck with his name on it.
It won’t take long for results at all. The filthy Repugnicants will outright STEAL the election and the spineless Demoncrats will do NOTHING about it. All the more reason to do away with the duopoly and the Electoral College!

Georgia? The republican ones will count faster, the Democrat ones not so fast

True, anywhere Republicans control the state legislature. Magats don’t want votes to be counted at all, and just ‘install’ Their Messiah.
At least Mike Pence is safe. We think.

From Jim Wright:
Elon Musk in charge of the economy…
RFK Jr in managing your healthcare…
Mike Flynn commanding your military…
Charlie Kirk, Tucker Carlson, Steve Bannon, and the dead rotting corpse of Rush Limbaugh are the moral conscience of your America…
Stephen Miller decides your political ideology…
Laura Loomer is the voice and face of your nation…
Chief Justice Canon presides over a Supreme Court made up entirely of Trump appointees…
JD Vance in charge of reining in Trump’s worst impulses…
You have no healthcare, no Social Security, no civil rights, no jobs, no savings, no food, no home, no education, and no hope
Sound’s good, right?
No?
Well, then you better show up.

You gotta be kidding. Vance is the result of one of his worst impulses.
