Ewww…foot massage! I absolutely hate having my feet touched. When we were first married my husband tried to give me a foot massage. It wasn’t pretty. Then there was the doctor whom I TOLD not to touch my feet; just tell me where to put them. She disregarded me & grabbed my foot. I sent her across the room with one kick.
As important as basic phonics and other subjects in pre-k is the young ones learning socialization. Mom and Dad can teach letters and numbers but the kiddo will have problems adapting to a community setting in kindergarten.
Everybody falls for “pull my finger” once, too. I was reminded of Hammie when I first did this to my son. He immediately reached for my finger and demanded “again!” and I said “no, it has to recharge” and then he started pulling is own finger to see if it would work.
As cute and as cuddly as those sounds may be and even if they were to benefit her in later years, she still needs to develop social skills outside the family environment…..
